Sport and Fitness Curriculum Developer
About the Role
• Curriculum developers required to write training and assessment material for Cert II to Diploma Sport courses, as well as Cert III and IV Fitness courses
• Casual or Contract position
• $50 per hour
Experienced curriculum developers required to write training and assessment material for SIS20115 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation, SIS30115 Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation, SIS40115 Certificate IV in Sport and Recreation, SIS50612 Diploma of Sport Development, SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness and SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness.
Must be experienced in development and writing of training and assessment material, with the ability to provide examples of previous work.
You will be provided with development plans and document templates to then develop assessment tasks, marking guides, mapping documents, delivery plans and training material.
Nearly all units have been delivered previously, however are being redeveloped as part of continuous improvement and to cater for new delivery modes.
Developers may complete work externally after receiving an initial briefing or are also welcome to work from our North Melbourne venue if you prefer a collaborative environment with the Programs Manager as well as trainers and assessors.
Plenty of work available till the end of the year (and probably early next year) and future opportunities are likely for those that demonstrate excellence in development (quality material, relevant, well written and on time).
Skills and experience
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 (essential);
• Sport developers- Diploma qualification or higher in sport, physical education, exercise science or human movement
• Fitness developers- Diploma qualification or higher in fitness, physical education, exercise science or human movement
• Significant industry experience in field of sport or fitness (minimum 3 years full time)
• Strong written communication skills;
Ideal candidates will be up to date with industry knowledge and experience, so they can incorporate the latest industry information, technology and practices into the curriculum.
