Student Services Coordinator

SEDA Group has a rare opportunity for an experienced and committed Student Services Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our students are provided with appropriate support with their personal wellbeing and the development of their individual pathways.

Your supportive and engaging nature will ensure our students achieve their goals and remain engaged with learning by assisting them access appropriate health and community-based programs and youth services in a timely manner, when required. You will be responsible for providing access to further education and employment information, supporting Program Facilitators to assist students planning their individual pathways and achieving positive outcomes.

You will be joining SEDA as a pivotal part of a dedicated and successful Operations team. This is an important role, so it goes without saying that your qualifications in youth work, social work or career counselling, coupled with your demonstrated experience in providing career and transitional support and guidance to young adult learners will be vital. You will demonstrate capacity to support staff to manage student wellbeing and engagement issues in the presence of health and wellbeing issues, and previous success in creating and supporting wellbeing referral pathways.

You will have strong interpersonal skills, well developed communication techniques and a positive attitude. Your self-confidence and initiative will enable you to build relationships and solve problems as you work independently across a multidisciplinary team to achieve objectives and positive outcomes. You will be a role model for our SEDA values of professionalism, innovation, integrity and collaboration, as you demonstrate high level organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.

Ideally, you will have a well-developed understanding of the tertiary education landscape and the range of pathways available to graduating students and a sound knowledge and understanding of how a practical placement program operates in an educational setting would be advantageous.
