SEDA Group delivers Sport & Business Programs across Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. Every program consists of the SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and BSB50120 Diploma of Business.

The Sport & Business Programs provide an opportunity to study in a practical, applied learning environment and gain hands-on experience in the sports industry working alongside our elite sporting partners. With programs associated with a variety of partners, you can choose a program that best aligns to your sporting interest. Visit our programs page to learn more about each program.

SEDA delivers via a blended learning model incorporating three days face-to-face, one day teacher-led virtual classroom per week and self-directed learning. The program is considered full-time and cannot be studied in a part-time capacity.

No. Sporting ability is not a pre-requisite for entry, but an active involvement in sporting pursuits is strongly encouraged.

Classes are structured to be delivered in an applied learning setting, via a hands-on curriculum incorporating three days face-to-face, one day teacher-led virtual classroom and self-directed learning. Curriculum includes activities based in the classroom, the workplace, and the community. Assessment methods included but are not limited to projects, written tasks, quizzes and observations.

Yes. We limit enrolments to ensure all students have access to quality work-integrated learning opportunities.

In most cases, programs will have a maximum of 30 students. Where partners have capacity, they may have multiple classes (of up to 30) with a dedicated teacher working with each class.

Unfortunately, SEDA Group and its partners do not have any boarding or accommodation facilities. While some students have relocated to attend, this has been facilitated on an individual basis through family, friends and independent organisations.

If you’re not sure where to start, please mention this at your interview and our Student Enrolment Manager can provide you with a list of known, independent student accommodation options in your relevant city.

Our graduates can gain entry into a wide range of higher education courses or are well-placed to enter the work force across a range of different industries.

We run information sessions throughout the year for each program where you can hear from teachers, students, SEDA Group, and the relevant sport organisation. Please check our Information Session page for upcoming events.

Yes, students can still be involved in sport and sporting teams outside of their enrolled Sport & Business Program. Our program offers some flexibility associated with an adult learning program.

If you have existing commitments that you believe may present a conflict of interest (e.g. working or volunteering with a rival club), please let us know at your interview.

Program duration is 43 weeks with a February intake.

This is inclusive of 36 weeks (4 x 9 week blocks) of delivery plus breaks.

Students are involved in a number of components, such as coaching, fitness, first aid, work placement, wellbeing, event management and community projects and outdoor activities, in a hands-on environment.

Costs associated with the program include:

  • Tuition fees for SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and BSB50120 Diploma of Business. In 2025 the maximum tuition fee will be $19,950.
  • Non-tuition fee of $350.
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid to be completed through an external provider/s under a fee-for-service arrangement.

Eligible students can apply for a VET Student Loan (VSL) for their tuition fees. Please note, a VSL will not cover the non-tuition fee or First Aid training. Please see here for more information on VET Student Loans.

Please also check the relevant program page for scholarships that may be available to assist with tuition fees.

Unfortunately, we are only able to offer our program to Australian residents. If you are looking for courses in Australia that are available to overseas students, please see The Australian Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

If you are not sure if this applies to you, please contact our Student Enrolment Manager on 1300 777 332 or at info@seda.edu.au.
