Statement of commitment to child safety
SEDA actively promote awareness, prevention, and early intervention practices to minimise harm and promote wellbeing.
SEDA is committed to:
- Upholding a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children
- Implementing annual Child Safe Programs for staff and students
- Requiring Working with Children Checks for all employees, contractors, and students engaging in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and coursework.
- Providing culturally safe and inclusive practices for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from CALD backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ students, and children with disabilities
