Statement of commitment to child safety

SEDA actively promote awareness, prevention, and early intervention practices to minimise harm and promote wellbeing. 

SEDA is committed to:

  • Upholding a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children
  • Implementing annual Child Safe Programs for staff and students
  • Requiring Working with Children Checks for all employees, contractors, and students engaging in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and coursework.
  • Providing culturally safe and inclusive practices for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from CALD backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ students, and children with disabilities
