Students receive badges as they reach each of four AQF levels of standard (Certificate II to Diploma). 

As these badges are awarded against AQF levels, the highest badge they can achieve will be determined by the level of the qualification they are completing i.e. a student completing a Certificate II course will be able to obtain a maximum of Emerging, unless they continue into a Certificate III the following year when they will have the opportunity to obtain a maximum of a Developing badge.
